They take much better care of their animals then you'd find at the pet store across the street. I love giving my money to a well run local business that is obviously passionate about what they do. Great staff, very nice and vey knowledgeable. Thanks guys, I'll be seeing you soon
I used to really like this place, but it took a nose dive in the wrong direction. I rather drive to a farther store, or buy all my supplies, including food, online.
I haven't gone nearly as often lately, actually very rarely because of the store's poor condition and I never see the friendly associates anymore. The only friendly and knowledgeable ones were Andy, Thiago, Phil and Kat.
I'll probably drop by in a few months to see if anything changed, but for now I'll buy my supplies online.
Their salt water section is looking pathetic. Their tanks are poorly kept, mislabeled and have apstasias everywhere. Do not put their water in your tank! They have a very small selection of corals, which all seem to die if not purchased; That shows how poorly their tanks are kept. Sometimes they have coupons and sometimes they don't; Ask before you start shopping, or they'll just say "no".
This place is insanely expensive. I purchased a Kessil light and returned it because i found over $150 cheaper on Amazon. All their prices are a rip off. They do not price match with Amazon.
I really hope they close down, or get their act together. This place has tremendous potential, but it seems the owner is very disconnected and therefore place is in shambles.
Great store, we're lucky to have something other than Petco/Petsmart when it comes to being an aquarium hobbyist! They have a great selection of all things fish that all look very healthy unlike the franchises where you can find sick and dead fish right in the tank. Can't say much about the reptiles since I don't know anything about them but they are fun to look at.
Like their helpful attitude and how they address our needs to know as novices in keeping fish in an aquarium. Strongly recommend them.
Had an issue with a couple of shrimp I bought at Congressional but the store manager issued store credit despite it being past their week policy.
This is a fantastic fish store. Everyone has been nice and very helpful. Yes it’s a little bit expensive but it’s worth it. Much better than Petco or any major chain. Ask questions and learn. They have lots of great tips and are willing to help! I highly recommend this shop!
