Called them by phone. I actually got a person to talk to! (I had been on the phone all morning,dialing published IRS numbers and talking to robots who repeated only what I had already found on the website.) This real person connected me to an internal IRS number where I was able to talk to another real person and get the answers I needed (which were not on the website!). They have a live person on the phone, who actually knows what to do next. What a wonderful resource! Thank you.
People pay taxes come one now they should have people answer the phone and help us. Any government branch that don't have coustomer service available without tricks will always be getting poor rating
I predictably started the phone call at the start of a long drive so they wouldnt waste my time as I have a lot of stuff amd dont need an hour out of my life wasted holding because they are slow. Finally get in touch with someone who starts by speaking non stop spanish. I had to scream at him to finally start with english. I said english at the start of the phone call. He said he needed 5 minutes to verify my info after he asked some questions. Then 5 minutes later he hangs up. What exactly are we paying taxes for again. How bout more customer service people that do their job at the irs and other places and less money for politicians. They can take a pay cut.
I've been there this morning. Arrived at 8:40am and there were only 2 people ahead of me. A very kind lady greeted me nicely. After waiting about 10 mins the gentleman at the desk helped me. I've got what I was asking for. It's a very friendly and helpful place.
You have to know this area to find the building..its not easily labeled outside the building. Then you have to PAY for parking in order to drive in.
